These tasks are community-based and cannot often be tackled by an individual, making cumulative teamwork in a settlement important for achieving better goods via the Smelting skill. There are a variety of Town Projects in each settlement, and, in addition to increasing the Smelter tier, they allow for a huge number of positive changes including, but not restricted to, increasing the quality of facilities within a settlement's borders and bulking up its defenses.
