Which transmutes have cooldowns

Ashen Shugar -- The lions sing and the hills take flight. The moon by day, and the sun by night. Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool. Let the Lord of Chaos rule! It's surprised me just how much some of the buff pots will sell for, much more than I expected I don't really like charging a fortune for low level pots, but if people seem prepared to pay that much Hehe, got a way to go yet, skill and I need 7 more levels before I can go over skill powerlevelling it on my lvl 43 paladin I know that it's too late now as the mooncloth market is probably worthless now but there's no need to go to Darnassus to make mooncloth.

There's a moonwell in the park in stormwind far north west steve. Lack of moonwells in Horde capital cities has always annoyed me a bit. I assume there might be one now in Silvermoon, though I haven't checked.

I used to go to the one in Ashenvale, which was about 1 minute horseback from Splintertree Post, yet it was enough of a timesink for me that I often neglected making it.

In the end I just kept felcloth in my bags and everytime we went to do AQ and my timer was up, I'd go make one in Cenarion Hold. Things are much simpler now in Outland. Hearthed in Shattrath, you can go to Cenarion Thicket and use the abandoned moonwell there. It's only a minute or so ride out of town, though you do have to kill any crazed terromoths that wander too close. Netherbloom is a supreme pain to farm Fire, Water, Mana and Air primals sell for 25 - 35 gold a peice and earth for 7 - 15 depending on the day and how many miners log in.

Thanks for the reply. Like I said, I never did transmutes since they always seemed to be a pain in the ass and not worth the trouble. I figured I'd give it a shot since someone was asking for it on general chat.

Most of my cash comes from selling drops, herbs, and the occasional pot I make at auction. I think I'll stick to what I'm doing and leave the 'mutes to someone else. Usually whoever is asking for the transmute supplies everything needed. You charge merely for using your skill, and wasting your cooldown.

Arcanite transmutes usually sold for g on my server. I never play my alchymist anymore so I have no idea if anyone still wants those : -Aph. Alchemy: transmute cost questions. Reply to author. Report message as abuse. Right now it would generate about 15 gold per cast on my realm. If we look at the list of transmutes, not all of them will be profitable.

The interesting ones are:. The table below shows the profit according to mean region prices on EU based on BootyBayGazzette prices. On my realm, the best one I can craft is water to air however, so make sure you check prices on your realm.

This is perhaps the best one in the game. Essence of undeath is plentiful and cheap. It is used in a small number of end-game recipes, but it is generated by everyone running scholo and strat to a much greater degree than any other essence.

Essence of water on the other hand is used in the best healing and spell damage enchants in the game, making them much higher in demand as undeath is only used in useless enchanting recipes. The recipe is a random world drop and usually sells for a lot of gold. On my realm you have typically been looking at up to 3 months before you break even, so I would not necessarily advise you to buy this one, but it is the best one on paper.

Essence of earth is like Essence of undeath mostly used in gear crafting. This makes it lower in demand than water, but it is less plentiful than essence of undeath, which makes this transmute worse than undeath to water. It is still one of the better ones. To get it you need to be friendly with Timbermaw hold. The recipe is Bind on Pickup, so it cannot be traded.

This makes it worse for lowbie alts, but it is a great one for your main, particularly if you cannot obtain undeath to water at a reasonable price. Living essences drop from the lashers in Dire Maul. This means they are generated in quite large numbers by farming mages. This recipe is a tradeable world drop like undeath to water. It is typically significantly cheaper. I bought mine for about gold, which meant I needed to do the cooldown for about 1. Once again you should scour the AH for the recipe to snag it cheaply.

It cannot be target farmed, so buying is the only option. I have been using this one as it has typically been the best one on my realm. Air is used in the spellpower weapon enchant, the upcoming agility enchants as well as a decent number of high level crafting recipes like Robe of the Archmage and Force Reactive disk.

It is fairly annoying to farm, with silithus being the only reliable source. With both of those changes, then we come to the "issue" described above. But personally I don't think that's what's hoolding Blizz back as they have allowed flooding the market with titansteel and specialty cloth.

Post by Sarilyn Granted why a transmute alchy would want to transmute anything but Epic gems is beyond me I'd love to have my alchemist transmute some Earth to Fire on occasion. But as you mentioned, transmuting epic gems is much more profitable.

I do that and So in many senses, my alchemist only knows one or two transmutes. The rest get dropped to the side due to the shared cooldown. I can't think of much that's more annoying than leveling up a profession and then being unable to use large chunks of it due to massive shared cooldowns.
